Contractors seem to end up in an odd Catch 22 when they work in the tech industry. Not unreasonably, potential employers want to see writing samples before they commit to hiring somebody. The problem is, in many cases, everything a writer does under contract falls within a non-disclosure agreement. So how do you show somebody your work?

If you’ve worked on something that has been published and released to the general public, then obviously you can bring that in. For writers who work mostly on internal documentation though, most of the material they produce is sensitive and they legally don’t have that option.
